AppUp Labs is a mobile app development company specializing in building custom iOS, Android, and cross-platform applications for startups and growing businesses. We work with clients primarily in the US, UK, and European markets, creating beautiful and functional mobile experiences.
We're a small team (9 people) focused on doing great work without the corporate complexity. We're expanding our design team and looking for a talented Junior UI/UX Designer who can help us create exceptional mobile app experiences.
The Role
We're looking for a Junior UI/UX Designer who can take projects from concept to final design, working closely with our development team and clients. You'll be responsible for designing mobile app interfaces that are both beautiful and intuitive.

Location: Remote (India)
Work Type: Full-Time
What You'll Do
Design & Delivery:
Design mobile app interfaces (iOS and Android) from wireframes to high-fidelity mockups
Create and maintain design systems for consistency across projects
90% of the time 1 project at a time, but sometimes we require you to work on 2-3 projects simultaneously at different stages when in iteration mode
Collaborate with developers to ensure designs are implemented correctly
Participate in client presentations and feedback sessions
Types of Projects:
Mobile apps for FinTech, HealthTech, E-commerce, and SaaS companies
MVP designs (8-12 week launches)
App redesigns and modernization
Design systems for growing products
Must-Haves:
Strong Figma skills in UI/UX design for mobile applications (this is our primary design tool)
Portfolio showcasing mobile app designs (iOS/Android)
Design system experience - you've built or maintained design systems before
Understanding of mobile patterns - iOS Human Interface Guidelines, Material Design
Communication skills - you can explain your design decisions clearly
Self-motivated - comfortable working remotely and independently
Nice-to-Haves:
Knowledge of prototyping tools (Figma prototyping)
Basic understanding of development constraints (what's feasible vs. what's not)
Experience with design handoff tools (Zeplin, Figma Dev Mode)
Illustration or animation skills

Slack - Team communication
Google Workspace - Docs, Sheets, Slides for documentation
